Keep the material face up on the lamp and mark the top and bottom of the lampshade surface. Do this for the entire circle. Then get it down and with a ruler connect all the lines. Keep one inch away from the line on both sides and cut the fabric with a sharp scissor along the outer line.
The outer edge is for the overlapping. Then take the glue spray or fevicol and spread it across the shade area. Carefully now stick the fabric over it. Press out all the bubbles that take place with sticking, it should flow smoothly.
Stick the excess on the inside of the lamp or you can cut it off. If there is a frill you want to attach, to give it a fancy look then attach the bottom of the frill first to the shade and then the remaining. Trim the excess from either side if it is jutting out.
