In school we all are taught some small form of art. We sit in class twiddling the needles with our little fingers. While we grow up some still carry on what they were taught and loved doing. Sometimes students learn out of school also, at home or at a neighbour's house or a friend teaches you something and you just love to do it.
It's a hobby what we are talking about and while some continue to do take up their hobby casually other turn it in to a serious career. And what better fun than to take up a career that you love doing.
Hobbies as a career are completely fulfilling. They could range from sports like basketball, volleyball to swimming and hockey. Or from indoor dos like cooking, gift decorating, wall decorating etc.
Sometimes girls and boys love to cook and dish out recipes that are uncommon but tasty to satiate every palate. Later on they can take it up as a career and make a life on cooking. One could even contemplate on operating from home. Home based jobs could include cooking, sending tiffins to offices or creating speciality Indian dishes that people crave and trust home made.
Besides cooking there is decorating and crafts. To have a mind for craft, one should be creative and use his internal resources to bring out his talent. From table decorations, to flower arrangements, making flowers from different materials to making candles, there are many work at home art and craft jobs.
One you have established your mind you could either work at a place or work from home. If you have the knack of teaching then begin art classes from home. You could teach drawing, sketching colouring, painting, pottery, sculptures.the options are endless. It all depends on your area of interest and what you love to do. A few months into it and if you are not enjoying yourself, then either you have to hone you skills and make it interesting, but if you fail to do so, you have dialled the wrong number.
There have been cases of people who have taken up a full time job like a teacher, investor and then give it all up for returning to their hobbies. They have become full time writers, artists, giving their whole to what they love.
If you love to play with animals and can teach them to obey your orders, you could look out for a job as an animal trainer. And these days in cities and towns where people have no time to have a meal they need people who could do their menial jobs. Its menial for them..but if you do it with your heart its your bread and butter for a long time to come.
When you plan to set up on your own, write down your business plan. The income you expect, the taxes you may have to pay and all the laws that will relate to you.
Once you have done your homework you could just leap ahead.
